Padmalakshmi Sriram is the honorable founder of the prestigious Lalitha Kalalaya Dance School. After more than 15 years of experience in supervising and running the dance school, she launched it officially in 2009. In addition to being a graceful exponent of the classical Bharatnatyam, she has also emerged as an excellent teacher imparting the ancient knowledge of the dance form to eager students and molded many young kids to be a wonderful performer. She teaches dance with a lot of dedication imparting our traditional and cultural values on the kids. She focuses mainly on perfection in every movement of dance to bring the best out of the students. Her teaching techniques and involvement make the kids fall in love with the wonderful art of dance.
Padmalakshmi also has experience in choreographing classical, semi-classical and folk dances for various cultural programmes across the country. This has allowed her to add more depth and perspective to her teachings in the dance school. She also teaches dance to special kids and helps in their overall mental and physical growth.
Her competency as a skilled teacher is supported by the various awards won by her students in various cultural events and functions.

She started learning Bharatanatyam at the tender age of 7. With her sheer dedication and passion towards dance, she has grown tremendously over a period of years and represented our dance school at many local community events. She has been teaching beginners and intermediate level students for more than 4 years.
Awards Received:
- 1st runner up in Sangeet Mela 2019 organized in Brisbane.
- Won Dedicated student Award in 2014
- Won several awards & recognition in school competitions in India.
Performances:
- Performed in various community & fundraising Events in Brisbane for the past 6 years.
- Performed many times in the temple during Indian festivals.
- Performed in front of premier for Gandhi Jayanthi celebration in 2019 in Parliament house.
- Solo recital at the prestigious Margazhi festival 2019 in Rasika Ranjani Sabha in Chennai.
- Performed with many famous dance groups in Chennai
Workshops
Conducted dance workshop in Delhi in 2018 and 2019 December during the Christmas season.
Divya Balasubramanian

Divya is one of the senior most disciples of our dance school. She has been learning dance for many years and one of the very dedicated students. She has performed in many local community programmes and festival celebrations with other fellow disciples. She has been teaching young and new students for the past three years.
